RBCT takes second place in the annual Business Excellence Awards

Richards Bay Coal Terminal was recognized as a runner-up in the Best Large Business category of the Zululand Chamber of Business's annual Business Excellence Awards. The award was presented at a gala dinner held at the Richards Hotel on 21 February 2007.

As first time entrants to this prestigious competition, it is a great honour for RBCT to have secured second place in a sector that is highly competitive in the Zululand region.

The panel of judges was made up of qualified experts and prominent business people from the Zululand region attended the event. This year’s award ceremony was highlighted by guest speaker Dr Ben Ngubane, the South African Ambassador to Japan.

The Business Excellence Awards is an initiative of the Zululand Chamber of Business to recognize businesses who have made outstanding contributions to the community.

This awards ceremony is held in high esteem by the business community in KwaZulu-Natal.
