Senior management changed at RBCT

During the month of June and July Richards Bay Coal Terminal announced changes in senior management structure. This comes after the imminent retirement of former RBCT Chief Executive Officer, Terry Howarth, who has been appointed as an Executive Director of the company until the 31st December 2009.
Effective, 1 July 2009, , former Chief Operating Officer, Raymond Chirwa has taken up the position of Chief Executive Officer of the single largest export coal terminal in the world

Raymond Chirwa joined RBCT in 2004 as the General Manager Engineering and in January 2008 moved to General Manager Operations. In the same year he was also appointed as RBCT Chief Operating Officer (COO).

Other changes are as follows:

Former Phase V Expansion General Manager Steph van Jaarsveld has been appointed as General Manager: Technical Services.

Douglas Morris has taken up the position of General Manager SHE, Risk and Compliance while Gwen van Zyl has been appointed as General Manager Legal & Corporate Affairs and Company secretary.

Richard Zitha, has been appointed as General Manager Operations.
