RBCT has donated two Parkhomes to Ithembalethu Community Centre in Mzingazi, to be used as shelter for teaching and learning of orphaned children. The centre caters for 246 children of whom some of them are affected by the HIV/ADIS pandemic. On behalf of Richards Bay Coal Terminal, Mrs Judith Nzimande reminded the community that proving a shelter for teaching and learning of children is always close to RBCT’s heart. She also requested other corporates to come forward in improving the lives of children in and around Richards. “We gathered here today to officially hand over these Parkhomes to Ikhayalethemba Community Centre and this is in line with our slogan, Coal to the world, growth to the nation.” Echoing Judith’s words, tribal aouthority representative Induna Mbuyazi thanked RBCT for the generosity to invest in the lives of youth, the leaders of tomorrow.
